The late Pastor Wendell Williams was in full time ministry since he graduated from Rhema Bible Training College in 1993. He and his wife Dona founded and pioneered Good Ground Family Church (a non-denominational Church and Good Ground Ministries International, Inc.) in 1998 and the Connect Center for Youth in 2011.The Ministry purchased the old St. Agnes Catholic Church in Cohoes, NY in 2001.
He was a native of Las Vegas Nevada, and attended Southern Utah State College before joining the Navy. During the Vietnam War, he was stationed in Boston Massachusettes where he met and married his wife Dona. They were married on Christmas Day 1975 and have three adult children and two grandchildren.
Dona is a native of Gloucester MA. She currently serves as the Senior Pastor since Pastor Wendell's passing on August 2, 2016. Dona is ordained through Rhema Bible Training College. Her other careers have involved Secondary and Post-Secondary education, theater and broadcasting with a degree from Skidmore College.
Pastor Dona is committed to helping the restoration of the Cohoes Community and is privileged to keeping the doors of Good Ground Family Church and the Connect Center for Youth open to advance and empower our local community and our region for the benefit of all.
